It doesn’t happen often, but when it does it’s truly breathtaking and that’s what Todd Phillips has done with Joker. This truly terrifying movie takes a deep look into mental illness and how society has failed those who suffer.
Do not delay, I highly recommend watching this for yourself. Here is a list of ratings from some of the most common rating sites:
IMDB: 8.7/10 Rotten Tomatoes: 69% Google: 93%
As a side note, Rotten Tomatoes is actually a joke and no one should rely on their highly flawed rating systems (More to come on that in a separate post).
Keep your eyes peeled because it looks like the much anticipated follow up to Zombieland has landed online earlier than it’s projected January 21st release date. To be fair – There should be literally zero wait time for movies to hit streaming services, it should be released as soon as there are no theaters still playing the movie.
The first movie was a welcomed changed from years of subpar Zombie movies. The casting was spot on and the Bill Murray cameo was perfect. It was a fun movie to watch and I really hope they’re able to recreate that same feeling – The biggest difference behind the scenes is the addition of David Callaham to the Screenplay team, David is responsible for writing the screenplay for Doom, The expendables, and more recently Wonder Woman 1984 (Set to be released 2020).
Here are the ratings from the top 3 sites: IMDB: 7.2/10 Rotten Tomatoes: 68% Google: 90%
Not much is known about the plot of the 3rd installment in this franchise. Will Smith had this to say “Essentially Martin’s character wants to retire, something happens in the movie and my character really doesn’t want to retire. ‘There’s a mission we must go on and he’s refusing” Classic Bad Boys plot.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part – Theatrical Release Date: February 8th, 2019
The much anticipated second instalment of The Lego Movie is slated for release on February 8th, 2019, even at my age I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and can’t wait for the second.
I’m sure everyone will be happy to know that Chris Pratt will be returning to the franchise, but this time, he’ll be voicing two characters! While watching the trailer something stood out! His second character (Rex Dangervest) he’s described as a; Galaxy Defending, Archeologist, Cowboy, and Raptor Trainer.
Reference and the Movie he was in:
Pratt played Star Lord in the Guardians of the GalaxyPratt played Josh Faraday in Magnificent SevenPratt played Owen Grady the Raptor Trainer in both Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen KingdomPratt has yet to play an archeologist, he has, however, been rumoured to be heavily favoured by Disney to take on the iconic role of Indiana Jones!

My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman: Howard Stern
Jason Statham, the man, the myth, the Olympic Diver (True Story) is back with a brand new action movie, The Meg, pitting him against the ultimate super villain, the worlds largest Shark! The Meg is slated to hit theaters on August 10th, 2018.
We have the latest in video game adaptations to hit theatres, Rampage, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Typically video game adaptation bomb at the box office (Mortal Kombat, Assassin’s Creed, Warcraft, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time), there always seems to be something missing that writers, directors, and producers can’t recreate.
I was never a huge Rampage fan growing up but this trailer does make the movie look like a fun ride and that’s what’s most important. I feel like the CGI is going to be amazing and Rock of going to bring his A game which will ultimately lead to a good (Not Great) movie.
I think this movie is going to be exactly what you think it will be, action-packed and fun, one of those movies you put on when you’re in the mood to just enjoy something in the background, similar to, San Andreas, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
Well, folks, May 24th is around the corner and Solo: A Star Wars Story has a new trailer! I watched it, I loved it, but I’m biased. Han has always been my favourite Star Wars character, Harrison Ford absolutely crushed that role, and, I’m hoping that Alden Ehrenreich does the same.
There have been numerous issues that have plagued this movie but based on what I’ve seen in the latest trailer it looks like Ron Howard was able to save Solo. One thing to note is that due to the size/popularity of the Star Wars franchise, it is inevitable that every single speed bump or non-story would be blown out of proportion.
I don’t think Solo will be breaking any all-time box office records but it will crush the opening weekend and do well. I kind of wish the release date was May 4th, it would have been perfect to include this movie into my planned Star Wars Day.
Disney used it’s social media accounts to announce that they’ll be releasing, Toy Story 4 on June 21st, 2019. Nerdy popcorn has learned that this will not be a direct installment to the 3rd movie, rather, it will focus on a Woody and Bo Peep (Who was noticeably absent from the 3rd movies). The latest movie will likely have nothing to do with the first 3.
Stephany Folsom, who contributed to writing Thor Ragnarok, has been hired to write the script.
The latest trailer for Deadpool 2 looks incredible and I got a semi-chub just watching it! Deadpool 2 is slated for release May 18, 2018, and I, for one, cannot wait!
Rumours have been swirling regarding the main villain played by Jack Kesy, apparently, he was cut from the movie, this would completely change the story. The news isn’t surprising as we’ve also been hearing that there have been multiple late re-shoots and that the initial screening has not been testing well with audiences. It will be interesting to see the final product.
So Not officially listed on the cast but I think I can confirm 100% that Terry Crews is definitely in Deadpool 2 and I couldn’t be more excited about that!
Who else is excited to see Deadpool 2? Did you love the trailer? Post in the comments below.
A Quiet Place premiered last night and Twitter is loosing it, which is absolutely amazing, and I honestly cannot wait to see it! Here are some of the tweets!!
Let us know what you think of the movie in the comments.
Just watched #AQuietPlace. Congrats @johnkrasinski, I can’t sleep and I’m all out of Gilmore Girls to watch to clear my head. What psycho wrote this? Oh you did. What crazy person directed this. You again. Cast your real wife as your wife? Come on!?! We have to talk. https://t.co/CE2hYbAGUs
Official marketing for #AQuietPlace not-so-subtly telling audiences to shut the fuck up in the theater is my new favorite thing. pic.twitter.com/q7dM7rUuxl
While watching the movie #AQuietPlace my hand was over my mouth all through out as if to keep myself from making any sound. It really is an outstanding movie.
#AQuietPlace is the best kind of horror film. One that subjects its characters to ruthless terror while also handling them with utmost affection. Krasinski absolutely knocks every aspect of it clean out of the park.
(Oh and by the way, it is a balls to the wall MONSTER MOVIE.)
Steve Spielberg just confirmed that Indiana Jones 5 will be the last time Harrison Ford plays the iconic character, it was also confirmed that we will be getting more Indiana Jones movies after the 5th film. The movie is set to be released July 20, 2020
Spielberg was said “This will be Harrison Ford’s last Indiana Jones movie, I am pretty sure, but it will certainly continue after that,”
He also discussed the possibility of transitioning the iconic character to a female, Spielberg notes that he knows this may outrage fans, however, he feels that it is time for a change.
“We’d have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that,” Said Spielberg
Male or female I am still genuinely excited for more Indiana Jones films, I personally love any movie dealing with Treasure hunting. Also, I transition to a female lead would be a welcomed change, I’d be very interested to see which actress’s would be considered for this role.
Post who you think would make a great female Indiana Jones in the comment section below!
Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film will be titled ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, and will star Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. The film will be released worldwide on August 9, 2019.
Personally excited to see this movie develop, I have been a Tarantino fan since I saw PULP FICTION, and have always appreciated the characters that both DiCaprio and Pitt have played. We’re a year and half away from what I hope will be another Tarantino epic. Rumor has it that Margot Robbie will be signing on to play Sharon Tate.
Tarantino describes it as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”
Tarantino worked with Pitt in INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS which grossed over $321 million worldwide and was nominated for eight Academy Awards®, winning for Best Supporting Actor. DiCaprio starred in the director’s DJANGO UNCHAINED, which grossed over $425 million worldwide, and was nominated for five Academy Awards®, and won for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor. His most recent film was the $532 million-grossing THE REVENANT in 2015, for which he won the Oscar® for Best Actor.
Tarantino comments: “I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was seven years old. I’m very excited to tell this story of an LA and a Hollywood that don’t exist anymore. And I couldn’t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio & Pitt as Rick & Cliff.”
It feels like forever since Westworld burst onto our screens in 2016, garnering 22 Emmy nominations, a 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, critical recognition worldwide, and swiftly becoming the first show to really give Game of Thrones a run for its money.
The trailer below should get you hyper up for the April 22nd, premier date, keep an eye out for a glimpse of Shogun World, the second theme park revealed at the end of season one.
